Cheating Wife Surveillance Tips

Video and Audio Surveillance

This is a lot like installing key logging programs on a computer – if it works out without your surveillance being detected, you’re likely to get solid, irrefutable proof of your wifes cheating. Alternatively, if she discovers that you’ve got video or audio recording equipment, she may be extra careful covering up her tracks (and/or your wife may turn the tables on you and say how DARE you spy on her!).

There are a variety of products out on the market that will help you conduct audio and video surveillance at home or even in her car. For example, there are very small "spy cameras" that you can put around your home that will probably go undetected.

What you will need to be careful of is any noises associated with cameras starting and stopping. For example, if you install a camera that is hooked up to a VCR or DVD recorder or similar piece of equipment to produce the recording, it’s best if the camera and the VCR/DVD recorder are in separate rooms so that you can’t hear it starting and stopping.

In order to save tape, disk or chip space on your video/DVD recording, it’s best if you can connect your camera up to a motion detector device (this works exactly the same way motion detector lights work – they flip on when they sense motion, and flip off when no one is near). That way you don’t have to run a camera continuously in hopes of catching something and you'll have proof positive of just the moments when you've caught your wife cheating .

The same is true of any audio recording devices that you use. Again, your best bet is to get a voice activated device. As soon as there is a sound, the recording starts. When the sounds stop, the recording stops. Be sure that the device starting and stopping doesn’t make any loud noises so that your wife won’t know it’s in the room.

Private or Professional "Live" Surveillance

You can catch your wife in the act yourself if you’re careful. For example, if you regularly go on business trips, or if you go out of town from time to time to visit friends or family, you can easily get away with telling her you have another one of those sorts of trips planned.

Obviously if you never leave town for the night and then suddenly you tell her you’ll be gone for a few days, it will be you whose behavior is suspicious. Remember, now is the time to act completely normally regarding your suspicions.

So,  if it’s normal for you to leave town, tell her that’s what you’re doing. Then you can set up your own "cheating wife surveillance" down the block in a vehicle that she doesn’t know (rent one if you have to).

Try to remember that just seeing someone you don’t know go into your house doesn’t mean too much, as it could be completely innocent (like a utilities man or friend from work). You need more to have more than that. And if you watch long enough, you might see something interesting – an amorous hug, a kiss, or perhaps they spend the night together.  Once again, resist the temptation to go charging in like a bull in a china shop.  Subtlety is the key, try to keep calm and get all the evidence you can.

Another thing you could do is go to her work place if she lets you know ahead of time that she’s going to be late. Then you can watch to see if your wife's really working late… or if she's going to meet her  instead. Similarly, if she's going into work early you can follow her if you think you can do it without being seen. Obviously this may be a little more tricky, but not impossible.

If you’d rather not follow her all over the place, consider hiring a private investigator. These professionals are trained in gathering evidence while remaining undetected. Sometimes it’s also good to have a neutral third party do the surveillance for you, as their emotions won’t cloud their investigations.

All you need is a few days (preferably on a weekend if your husband seems to be gone a lot during that time), and a private investigator will likely provide all the proof you need (including picture evidence). As such, it doesn’t have to be too expensive to hire a private investigator if you only need to tail your husband for a few days.
